Who are we?

Humanitarian Welfare Association is a non-profit organization which envisions a prosperous human society based on the principles of human rights and respect for gender equality. HWA seeks to promote the smooth integration of immigrants into Belgian society through capacity development and by focusing on the principle of human rights, gender equality and anti-sexual harassment policies in to the asylum seekers, refugees and newcomers.

Through our partnerships we create and support multiple diverse projects in a multitude of fields, all of which are important to the integration of newcomers. HWA is active in the pillars of human rights, gender equality, empowerment, anti-sexual harassment, combatting domestic and intrafamily violence, reduction of poverty, and labor market activation.
