Anti Violence Service
Domestic and intrafamilial violence remains a serious societal issue, affecting people from all backgrounds. Addressing this sensitive and often taboo topic is a challenge, but HWA is committed to breaking the silence.
Our anti-violence service addresses both internal and external cases of domestic and family violence. Internally, individuals can reach us through our helpline for confidential advice and comprehensive support.
To contact the helpline for (domestic) violence for primarily Afghan Women:
0465 71 12 31 (Whatsapp)
Externally, we collaborate with organizations such as FJC, schools, Co3, the crisis team, Kind & Gezin, CAW, and the police, providing culturally sensitive advice and further guidance in Dari, Pashto, and Farsi when needed.
To raise awareness about the different types of violence, we have created informative videos explaining what they are, who individuals can contact for help, and how we can provide support. These videos can be used for personal education as well as by external organizations for their own purposes. They are available in Dari with Dutch subtitles and in spoken Dutch. All parties are free to use these videos without requiring explicit approval.
Beyond crisis support, HWA promotes gender equality through specialized training and equips communities with the necessary tools to navigate challenges in Belgium. Through personal guidance and advice, we strive to foster a stable and secure future for migrants and asylum seekers.
We also continuously stay informed about changes in procedures and regulations on the topic to provide accurate information and support to all parties.
